Albert Einstein’s Relativity: The Special and General Theory transformed the way we perceive time, space, and gravity. This commemorative edition pairs Einstein’s own clear explanations of his breakthrough theories with a special photo collection that captures the humanity behind the genius. From the elegance of Einstein’s Special Theory to the profound implications of General Relativity, this volume is an essential addition for collectors, historians, and anyone who has ever looked at the stars and wondered how it all works.

In this volume, readers will explore Einstein’s landmark theories on the relativity of time and space—revealing that measurements of time and distance are not absolute but change depending on how fast an observer is moving. It delves into his revolutionary vision of gravity as geometry, where gravity is not a “pulling” force but a curvature of the fabric of spacetime caused by massive objects. Finally, the text examines Einstein’s constancy of light, the postulate that the speed of light remains the same for all observers, serving as the foundation for the realization that nothing can travel faster than light.

Beyond the theoretical foundations, this volume explores the consequences of Einstein’s work, including the development of the world’s most famous equation, E=mc2. By redefining the relationship between energy and matter, and uncovering how gravity and time are inextricably linked to the fabric of space, Einstein forever altered the trajectory of modern science. This special edition is further enriched by four detailed appendices and a curated gallery of over twenty photographs that offer a rare chronological journey through Einstein’s life, beginning with a portrait of him at age four in 1883 and spanning the entirety of his legendary career.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

In 1973, the Greek people overthrew an authoritarian government by virtue of their spirit alone… with a bit of help from their artists, musicians and writers. We Are Not Yours is a novel of that time.

What could be more relevant, now, when democracy is under such threat?

Perdiki’s songs inspired a nation to resist an oppressive government, and for it he was chained to the deck of an old freighter and sent into exile. When he managed to break free and swim to the island of Mythos, an epic struggle began that ended with the whole island protecting him and his music.

As Spider Robinson wrote, “This is a novel of magnificence, a truly inspiring book and a great story. It made me laugh and cry and see the human spirit at its best.”

 About the Author:

Alex Morton divides his time between Vancouver and the Greek island of Ikaria. In addition to We Are Not Yours, he is the author of Somewhere Else, A Little Larceny, Legal Enough, Annamaria and the King of Severance and The Genius Card.

Bernard Fernandez has been a great boxing writer for decades, but his expertise and mastery of a variety of topics makes this anthology a joy to read. Bernie isn’t just a Hall of Fame boxing writer; he’s a Hall of Fame writer, period.

*Wallace Matthews, published author, former sports columnist at Newsday and the New York Daily News, and a 2024 inductee into the International Boxing Hall of Fame

This book tells you far more than just the fight, or fighter. It takes you inside like no other book has ever done. I thought I knew all about them, but I learned a lot more by reading this book. A job well done by a great boxing writer!

*Henry Hascup, president and historian of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame

In a career that has spanned over five decades, Bernard Fernandez’s writing sparkles with wit, charm, insight and humanity. This sixth entry in his esteemed boxing anthology series highlights his versatility as a wordsmith chronicling the tales of misfits, colorful characters, heroes, scoundrels and ordinary Joes.

*Tim Smith, vice president of communications for Haymon Sports and a sports journalist for over 40 years, including stints as the boxing beat writer for the New York Times and New York Daily News

Boxing has long attracted the most observant, lyrical scribes in sports writing, and Bernard Fernandez represents the best of that tradition. ‘Championship Rounds, Round 6,’ the latest of his anthologies, showcases his empathy with his subjects and his expertise in the sweet science. This book is a treasure.

*Mike Sielski, sports columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and author of The Rise: Kobe Bryant and the Pursuit of Immortality and Magic in the Air

Bernard’s writing allows readers to lose themselves in the history of boxing – its past, its present and possibly its future. His style is easily accessible to the sometimes fan as well as the true aficionado. This book is a delight. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

*Dr. Flip Homansky, former chairman and chief physician of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and a recipient of the Boxing Writers Association of America James A. Farley Award for Honesty and Integrity in Boxing

Bernard Fernandez is my favorite boxing writer. His eloquence and unique knowledge of boxing jump off the pages of anything he writes. His latest anthology, as is the case with his previous books, is a collection of stories that shine like gems.

*Ron Lipton, retired professional boxing referee, historian of the sport, inductee into the New York and New Jersey Boxing Halls of Fame and a contributing writer for The Ring magazine

This sixth entry into Bernard Fernandez’s anthology series again demonstrates why he is a consummate chronicler of boxing’s unique culture. He understands what boxers bring into the ring, leave with, and sometimes carry long after the outcome, are as essential to good storytelling as the bouts themselves.

*Michael Hirsley, retired boxing writer for the Chicago Tribune
